| Elite Ops - Military Themed Reality Series broadcast on SABC 2 | |
| Elite Ops is a home-grown Rapid Blue format. This highly popular reality series (number one in its timeslot during 2006 on SABC 2) is based on the SA National Defence Force Special Forces selection and training programme. Recruits had to tough it out and learn survival and other military skills in a boot camp environment. Special Forces Soldiers (Recces) go through the toughest selection and training courses imaginable and are tasked with only the most sensitive and dangerous missions. Over a period of 12 days, the show host Lieutenant Colonel Clinton Agnew (a qualified Special Forces operator and trainer) and his recruits gave ordinary South Africans a rare glimpse into what it takes to be a Special Forces Soldier. Elite Ops is just one example of Rapid Blue’s capacity to create fascinating television in any given format. |
