| Power of 10 - SA’s highest paying game show | |
| The Power of 10 is a high-stakes, big money game show with the biggest possible prize money in South African game show history – a whopping R10 million! In order to stand a chance of winning big all contestants have to do is to be able to tap into the mindset of their fellow South Africans and accurately predict how a cross-section of South Africans responded to questions covering a wide variety of topics. For this nationwide polls were conducted by Markinor. Typical questions would include: "What percentage of South Africans said they are afraid of circus clowns?" As the value of the questions increases by the power of 10, so the range of possible percentages decreases. The show was broadcast on MNet during 2008. The host of the show was celebrity DJ, Mark Pilgrim. The grand prize - R10,000,000 - is the biggest in South African television history. Two of the contestants managed to win R1 000 000 each – this was a first for local television. Power of 10 was also one of the very first shows produced in HD for South African television.
