SA's Got Talent - Premiered on SABC 2, 1 October 2009 at 7:30pm
 
Rapid Blue has produced one of the world’s hottest TV properties – the talent search contest SA’s Got Talent. The show calls for “any age, any act”.
Singers, dancers and comedians to variety acts, animal trainers and acrobats competed against each other for audience support and votes to find SA’s most talented performer or act.

Series one of SA’s Got Talent began on 1 October 2009 and ended on 12 November 2009. The winner of the series received R 250,000. The first six shows covered the audition stages and the final four shows were the live semi-finals and final. Altogether, 21 acts performed in the semi-finals, seven acts in each episode. Season One of the format achieved record audience ratings for SABC 2.

The winner of series one was Darren Rajbal. Darren, a deaf hip-hop dancer won the coveted title of being the most talented South African. With the aid of a translator, he signed his thanks to the country for choosing him before celebrating his victory and the R250,000 prize.
