| Rapid Blue ventures into Nigeria | |
| Rapid Blue Formats was formally incorporated in January 2008 with the main objective of producing World Class Television for viewers across West Africa. Rapid Blue Formats, which is operating from Lagos, Nigeria, has been able to secure rights and has commenced sponsorship drives for great award-winning formats such as Weakest Link, Fortune, Dancing With the Stars, Don’t Forget the Lyrics, So You Think You Can Dance, and Got Talent among other shows. This initiative creates a unique opportunity to open up West Africa to only the best in international television formats. ‘‘I am very excited about this whole project,’’ says the executive director of Rapid Blue Formats in Nigeria, Rotimi Pedro. ‘‘It will not only create wonderful business opportunities, but will also play a major role in the industry development of the television sector in Nigeria and this sub region as well as put our country on the map of the global entertainment broadcast market.” Two seasons of Don’t Forget The Lyrics have been produced for Nigeria. |
