| Rapid Blue CEO elected to Academy | |
| In mid August 2008, Rapid Blue was informed by The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences that our CEO, Duncan Irvine, has unanimously been elected as Member of the Academy. Irvine is one of only 10 South Africans represented as Member of the Academy. “This prestigious Membership is the acknowledgement of almost two decades of dedication and international excellence in the television industry,” said Managing Director, Kee-Leen Irvine. “We are extremely proud of Duncan and this recognition by the Academy.” A leading member of the African television industry, Irvine is best known for launching Rapid Blue and, in under a decade, turning it into one of the continent’s foremost production houses, with a staff of more than 40 and thousands of hours of broadcast content to show. “This achievement also reflects quite favourably on the entire body of work produced by Rapid Blue over the years,” Irvine concluded. |
